Life is a Beach: Donate to Sandy Relief

Hurricane Sandy, the tropical cyclone that severely affected portions of New Jersey, was the largest Atlantic hurricane on record, with winds spanning 1,100 miles. Sandy is estimated in early calculations to have caused damage of at least $20 billion. Preliminary estimates of losses that include business interruption surpass $50 billion, if confirmed, would make it the second-costliest Atlantic Hurricane in American history.

Aside from the statistics, the real issue is the families left without a place to call home. the $250,000 (maximum coverage) with flood insurance won't nearly cover most expenses for those in need to rebuild. For those who grew up going to the Jersey Shore, a walk from the beach house to the boardwalk has become nothing more than a memory.
Superstorm Sandy Relief. Help Superstorm Sandy victims by donating here.

People have been wondering "What did we do to deserve this?". and no one has the real answer. If anything good has come of this, it's the fact that sometimes it takes the bad to recognize the good. Whether it's donating a dollar to save the life of someone you never met, welcoming someone in who lost their home, or realizing that you forgot to thank God for everything you have... love prevails in different ways. Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget what we are living for.
Stay Strong New Jersey <3
