3 in 10 young adults are now living at home. Due to the economic conditions, it's the highest percent since the 1950's. In this case, "young adults" include those from 25 all the way up to 34. Not only are people finding it easier to stay under their parents roof, but 22% of them get an allowance from mom and dad (Pew Research Statistics 2012). Another interesting statistic is that parents are 3x more likely to let a son move back in than a daughter.. Mammas boy mania.
Whether or not you're part of these statistics, here are some things we all can relate to...
With 22% of people (between 25 and 34) getting an allowance from mom and dad, coming home to mom's cooking, and driving cars that don't reflect their true status, this generation is in for it. If we can't support ourselves, than how are we eventually going to provide for our own children? ... A bunch of kids raising kids.
